The French government, headed by Prime Minister Edouard Philippe filed Friday to resign. This is stated in a statement the Elysee Palace.

"Edouard Philippe today filed a petition of resignation to the President of the Republic, which he took, – stated in the message. Together with the members of the government it deals with current Affairs until the appointment of the new government".

Earlier in the French media appeared reports of differences between Prime Minister and President, including after Philip’s victory on elections of the mayor of the city of Le Havre on June 28. On Thursday, the President of France Emmanuel macron confirmed his intention to make changes in the government amid the country’s recovery after the pandemic.
