The ex-applicant for a post of the President of Belarus Valery Tsepkalo has sent an open letter to the leaders of more than 30 countries, including USA, Canada, Germany, France, UK. On Monday, August 3, reports “Interfax — West”.

Former rival of Alexander Lukashenko in the presidential race, writes that the Belarusian authorities strongly oppose the holding of free and fair elections, exert military pressure on anyone who wants a fair and transparent electoral process. To do this they use methods of intimidation and brute force.

Tsepkalo is asking world leaders to support the conduct of free and fair elections in Belarus, “to draw public attention to the Belarusian regime pursued anti-people policies” and to assist in the organization of international election observation.

Founder of high-tech Park Valery Tsepkalo was not registered as a candidate in the election. He fled to Russia, fearing political persecution, and then moved to Ukraine.
