From May 10th to 14th, 2022 the 66th Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Turin, Italy, after the Italian band Måneskin won in 2021 with the song “Zitti e buoni”. This is how you see the semi-final shows and the final live on the Internet and TV.

In Germany, ARD has secured the TV rights. However, the first only shows the ESC 2022 final on May 14th from 8.15 p.m. live on television and in the ARD media library.

The two semifinals on May 10th and 12th will also be broadcast on Eurovision.de, as will the final. The ESC will be moderated by Laura Pausini, Alessandro Cattelan and Mika.
40 nations are taking part in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022. Originally there were 41, but Russia was excluded due to the war in Ukraine. Also not included are Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Luxembourg, Monaco, Slovakia, Turkey, Hungary, Liechtenstein, Kazakhstan and Scotland.
With Israel, Azerbaijan and Australia, however, three non-European countries are again taking part this year.
The five nations Germany, Spain, France, Great Britain and Italy are firmly qualified for the final.
The starting order of the 1st semi-final (May 10th):
Seven starters were eliminated in the first semi-final: Albania, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Denmark, Slovenia and Latvia. The elimination of Albania and Austria came as a particular surprise, both countries were highly regarded, at least by the fans.

The top favorite Ukraine has cleared the first hurdle at the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC): The Kalush Orchestra qualified Tuesday evening in the first semifinals of the ESC in Turin as one of ten countries for the final. The semi-final show was a varied mix of shrill show elements and strong vocal performances.
In addition to the starters from Ukraine, Switzerland, Armenia, Iceland, Lithuania, Portugal, Norway, Greece, Moldova and the Netherlands also qualified.
Since the ESC, which is the world’s most respected music competition, should be strictly non-political according to its rules, Russia’s war against Ukraine played no role in the show in the PalaOlimpico hall.
