After three departures from the goalkeeping position, BVB was forced to look for a new keeper. Now Borussia have found what they are looking for in the second division.

Kobel backup: Borussia Dortmund have a new number two in goal for the coming season. Alexander Meyer will be Gregor Kobel’s future back-up. The 31-year-old, who stood between the posts for Jahn Regensburg this season, has been given a contract until 2024. The new BVB sports director Sebastian Kehl is convinced of Meyer both athletically and personally, reports “Sky”.

Experienced goalkeeper: “In him we get a very experienced goalkeeper who exudes calmness and has shown in the past few years as a regular goalkeeper in Regensburg that he has high quality. He was undoubtedly one of the strongest goalkeepers in the second Bundesliga in recent years,” enthuses Kehl.

Three departures: After the departures of Roman Bürki, Stefan Drljaca and the actual number two Marwin Hitz, BVB had to strengthen themselves. In addition, Borussia extended the contract with 21-year-old Luca Unbehaun.
