Former President of Georgia Mikhail Saakashvili said that Russian leader Vladimir Putin threatened him with war during a conversation in a dark room. About it reports the edition “Gordon”.

Saakashvili explained that the conversation with Putin at the CIS summit in Minsk in 2006.

“Putin has brought me into a certain dark room, dug your nails in the knee – the conversation was in the eye and threatened war. As we later saw, he wasn’t kidding,” explained the former President of Georgia.

“Rambler” wrote that in 2008, after military conflict with Georgia, called the five-day war, Russia recognized the independence of South Ossetia and Abkhazia. After which Tbilisi broke off diplomatic relations with Moscow.
