Former Milan striker and Italy national team football Pierino Prati died in ‘ 73. This was reported in Twitter of the Italian team.
“goodbye, legend of the Rossoneri. You were a light for us, and we will dearly miss you. Rest in peace, Piero,” wrote members of the club. According to Football Italia, the athlete died after a long illness.
Prati played for Milan from 1967 to 1973. Together with the team forward became the champion of Italy, won the Champions League and twice became the winner of Cup of Italy. In the national team of the country team became the European champion in 1968 and a silver medal at the 1970 FIFA world Cup.
on 22 June it became known about death of the world champion on shooting from a pneumatic gun Babani Momcilovic-Velickovic at the age of 30 years. The cause was a severe and short illness. The athlete died a few weeks after birth.
