Italian composer Ennio Morricone died. It is reported by RIA Novosti.
According to the Agency, a few days ago Morricone fell and broke her femur, and last night died from the effects of the fall.
Morricone, as reported by “the Rambler”, was born in Rome in 1928 and studied at the Conservatory of St. Cecilia in the same place. Until the 1960-ies he played with the ensemble in night clubs, worked in the theater, has arranged popular songs for radio and music for a TV show, then began to write music for films.
Morricone is known as composer of music for the films of Directors like Oliver stone, Sergio Leone, Terrence Malick, Roman Polanski, Dario Argento, John carpenter, Brian De Palma, Bernardo Bertolucci, pier Paolo Pasolini and others.
In 2007, Morricone was awarded an honorary award “Oscar”, and in 2016 — the “Oscar” for the music written for the film by Quentin Tarantino “Disgusting eight”. Five times Morricone was nominated for the award “Oscar” for the music for the movie “Malena”, “Bugsy”, “the untouchables”, “Mission” and “Days of heaven”.
