In Gütersloh, the police stopped a driver who was driving his vehicle in a very unusual way: instead of sitting on his car seat, he was sitting on a wooden stool – which was unsecured.

A car with “wooden equipment” on the driver’s side was stopped during a traffic check in Gütersloh (NRW). The 33-year-old driver sat on a wooden stool instead of a driver’s seat, the police said on Thursday.

The stool stood unsecured on two chipboards, a lock for the seat belt was missing. A police spokeswoman said on Thursday that the man was unable to give a plausible answer when he was checked early on Wednesday morning as to where his driver’s seat was.

On top of that, he didn’t have a driver’s license. Further travel was prohibited. A trial awaits the man.
