Cuba sent more than 200 doctors to South Africa to fight COVID 19

More than 200 health workers from Cuba went to Africa to help in the fight against the spread of coronavirus. This was reported by the Cuban Embassy in Pretoria on their page Facebook.

“In response to a request by the South African government, Cuba decided to support the efforts of the authorities to contain the spread of coronavirus”, – reads the statement of the Embassy.

Only in South Africa will arrive 217 medical professionals, including, including, epidemiologists, virologists, family doctors. “Our doctors will work in different regions of the country according to the plans of the National Department of health South Africa,” said a Cuban Embassy.
