the international Association of cruise lines has extended the suspension of passenger traffic from the ports of the United States until September 15. This decision was made on the background of the situation with the spread of the coronavirus in the country, says the Association.
Previously, the validity of the decision on the suspension of cruise traffic was due to expire on 24 July. However, “it is becoming evident that more time will be needed to barriers to the resumption of activities in the United States have been eliminated”, – quotes the document RIA Novosti.
Experts note that more time – until mid-September – will consult with the Center for control and prevention of diseases of the U.S. on measures that would be feasible for a possible resumption of cruises.
