The proposal by Ukraine to make a paid entry to the Peninsula is only a faint smile, said to RIA Novosti, the head of Committee of the Crimean Parliament on the tourism, resorts and sports Alexey Chernyak.

On the official Internet representation of the President of Ukraine there was a petition with a proposal to temporarily make paid entrance to the Crimea for citizens of Ukraine and foreigners. Cost to charge until such time as the Peninsula is part of Russia. The fare is proposed to establish in the amount of 250 UAH per person (about 660 rubles), and proceeds to guide the development of resorts of the Kherson region.

"All of this causes only an ironic smile. In Ukraine the last six years, argued that tourists do not go to the Crimea and the beaches are completely empty, and suddenly recognized the fact back and decided to earn it. Crimea, being a safe and comfortable resort that has become one of the most popular places among Ukrainian tourists, and the Kiev authorities is not to hide," said Chernyak.

According to him, if the Ukrainian authorities will react to such "crazy petition," their idea is to discourage tourists from the Crimea will not work and will only embitter the population.

"Tourists will go to the Crimea in other regions of Russia", – said Chernyak.

Crimea became a Russian region after held there in March 2014 referendum in which 96.77% of voters of the Republic of Crimea and 95.6% of residents of Sevastopol voted for joining Russia. Crimean authorities held a referendum after a coup in Ukraine in February 2014.

Ukraine still considers Crimea its but temporarily occupied territory. The Russian leadership has repeatedly stated that the inhabitants of Crimea democratically in full compliance with international law and the UN Charter voted for reunification with Russia. According to Russian President Vladimir Putin, Crimea "permanently closed".
