The subsistence level in Moscow in the first quarter of this year installed nearly 290 rubles more than in the previous quarter, and surpassed the 17.1 thousand roubles. The corresponding government resolution was signed by mayor Sergei Sobyanin and published on its website.

The subsistence minimum per capita in the capital for the fourth quarter in 2019 was 16 843 rubles.

"to Set the subsistence minimum in Moscow for the first quarter of 2020 per capita – 17 129 rubles," the document reads.

Also in the first quarter for the able-bodied population of the capital, the subsistence minimum amounted to more than 19.5 thousand rubles, for pensioners – more than 12,1 thousand roubles, for children – more than 14.8 thousand rubles.

Living wage – the valuation of the consumer basket. Under the consumer basket implies the minimum set of food, goods and services necessary to preserve health and human life. A living wage takes into account the required to pay monthly payments and fees.

Since 2000, the living wage is changed on a quarterly basis to three populations: able-bodied citizens, pensioners and children, as well as for the General population. The indicator is used, in particular, when forming the Federal and local budgets, social assistance, development and implementation of social programs.
