Approximately 90 Danish soldiers are in Iraq. Some are a month and a half, while others come home a month before.

the Rules have been tightened for travel to a missionsområde in Iraq, where more Danish soldiers are located.

Among other things, is all travel that is not critically necessary to the mission, has been canceled.

It should be to reduce infection with the coronavirus, but the constraints leads to a part of the Danish forces in the country have extended their broadcast. Leave is also cancelled.

This was stated by the Defence in a press release.

The Danish contribution is part of Operation Inherent Resolve. It is an international coalition to combat Islamic State (IS).

Among the around 90 Danish soldiers who are in Iraq, some sent in three months, while the other is broadcast in six. The situation with coronavirus, however, does change the length of their broadcast.

Those who should have been released in three months, be extended by the plan with a to a month and a half.

Conversely, it is expected that those who should have been released in a half year, gets the abbreviated broadcast with a month. They are thus broadcast in five months.

the Defense does not disclose, who should have extended their mission or vice versa.

Earlier this year, was training at Al-Asad airbase in Iraq set because of the risk of infection, and the Danish contribution is already know to pack the camp down.

the Mission must be completed no later than august, where preparations for Denmark takes over another mission in Iraq, going in time. It is a training mission that goes under the name of the Nato Mission Iraq (NMI).

The Danish soldiers are still in Iraq, according to Defense critical in relation to the implementation of the work package both camp and stock down, so the mission can be completed in a timely manner.
