The Federal Constitutional Court has confirmed the facility-related vaccination requirement. According to information on Thursday, the highest German court rejected a constitutional complaint against corresponding parts of the Infection Protection Act.

The judges in Karlsruhe argued that the protection of so-called vulnerable groups weighs constitutionally more heavily than the impairment of the fundamental rights of nursing and healthcare staff.

A total of 46 people, many of them employed in health professions, had moved to Karlsruhe with a constitutional complaint. In February, the court rejected your urgent application for the temporary suspension of facility-related vaccination requirements. It was thus able to come into force in mid-March. Since then, health professionals have had to prove that they have been vaccinated or have recovered.
