China United States expressed protest in connection with introduction of sanctions against six Chinese companies

China has made US protest in connection with introduction of sanctions against six Chinese companies, which, according to the US, violate US law on the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (WMD) against Iran, North Korea and Syria, said foreign Ministry spokesman China Geng Shuang.

“China has made strict representation to the us side. We strongly oppose unilateral sanctions and the extraterritorial jurisdiction that the United States used on the basis of national law,” said Geng Shuang, reports TASS.

China urged the U.S. to correct “this mistake” and to lift sanctions. China fulfills its international obligations on WMD nonproliferation, said Geng Shuang.
