the Average salary of the Russian teachers in the II quarter of 2020 amounted to less than 31 thousand rubles. The highest salary among the teachers was recorded in Moscow — 51,6 thousand rubles, reports the newspaper “Izvestia”, citing a study of service “Avito Work”.
In second place was St. Petersburg. Teachers from the Northern capital have average of 35.1 thousand rubles per month. The three of leaders was closed Ekaterinburg: it teachers are paid about 29,8 thousand rubles a month. Less likely to get teachers from Voronezh — an average of 21.7 thousand rubles, Novosibirsk — 21,1 thousand and Volgograd is 20.6 thousand rubles a month.
According to the quarterly report of service, education is consistently one of the lowest paid. In this regard, the experts conducted a survey, which found out whether or not to pay teachers for the additional load during a pandemic.
So, 61 percent of respondents said they believe the new realities of a good enough reason for surcharges. They noted that teachers are now forced to more closely monitor the health of students, to warn about the need to wash your hands frequently and to wear masks and conduct training sessions.
While 33% of respondents considered these arguments insufficient to make payments, and 6 percent were undecided.
Classes in Russian schools on 1 September will start in the usual face-to-face format. Children and teachers will be obliged to wear masks in the room, physical education classes will be held outdoors. In universities the students will measure the temperature, and the room will begin to disinfect.
