The Ministry of health of Brazil agreed with the British side on cooperation on the creation of vaccines against coronavirus infection COVID-19.
This was announced by first Deputy Minister of ADSI Frank at a press conference.
According to him, the Ministry agreed on joint exploration and localization in the country of production of the vaccine, the development of which are British scientists at Oxford University and pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca (AstraZeneca).
“the Agreement involves the purchase of a vaccine and transfer of technology (of production)”, — quotes its TASS.
According to him, the first stage of the Brazilian power purchase 30,4 million doses of the drug ChAdOx1. If the vaccine will demonstrate safety and efficacy and is registered in Brazil, will be produced 70 million doses.
It was said that the first it is planned to vaccinate people at risk.
