Belarusians around the world staged a protest in support of the residents of the country protesting against the background of the upcoming elections of the Belarusian President. About it reports the edition Tut.by.

The demonstration took place from 19 to 21 June in different cities around the world, in particular, in Kiev, Berlin, the Hague, Warsaw, Moscow, new York, San Francisco and Los Angeles. In most cases, the action took place near the Belarusian Embassy.

Protesters expressed their support for the opponents of the acting head of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko, including the most popular candidates for the post of banker Victor Babariko and blogger Sergei Tikhanovski.

In Minsk and other big Belarusian cities held peaceful protests, accompanied by the arrests of demonstrators, amid the coming presidential elections. The vote is scheduled for 9 August. Most opponents of Alexander Lukashenko, announced plans to run for a sixth term, were detained, among them Victor Babariko and Sergei tikhanovski.
