Belarus refused from the Russian tests COVID 19

Belarus refused to purchase a batch of 30 thousand Russian tests for detection of coronavirus COVID-19, said the foreign Minister of the Republic of Belarus Vladimir Makei.

Earlier in the Ministry of health of Belarus reported that the country has both domestic and imported test systems to identify COVID-19. In particular, at the beginning of April in the Minsk automobile transport were taken about 10 thousand test systems from Russia.

The tests were donated. Also Vice Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko noted that Belarus waits from Russia supplies 30 thousand contracted and paid for the test systems to determine COVID-19.

"These 10 thousand was free. We have had negotiations with two Russian companies on the acquisition of another 30 thousand tests, but those negotiations stalled. But we now these tests are not needed: we manufacture our own tests, and about 50 of the thousands of tests we got from other countries," said Mackay in an interview tut.by that published on Friday.

Commenting on the statement by the press Secretary of Russian President Dmitry Peskov that Russia helps Belarus in the fight against the coronavirus, the Minister noted that "we would want to understand what kind of help is it". In this regard, he again criticized Moscow’s decision to close the border with Belarus.

Mackay also drew attention that earlier 15 infected with coronavirus Russians came to the construction of the Belarusian NPP from Nizhny Tagil and ironically suggested that "it is also helping Russia".

"for God’s Sake, we all will heal, all will help you figure it all out. But I would like to if you make statements, they had groundless," he added.

Mackay also believes that Russia should focus on the situation of coronavirus in the country. According to him, in some Russian media and Telegram channels biased coverage of the situation with COVID-19 in Belarus.

According to the Minister, it is better for everyone to look at what "happens under his nose and not try to add certain toxic lighter fluid in a nearby fire".

"Nobody knows what is right, what is not, time will put everything in its place", – said the Minister.
