An open race between FC Chelsea and FC Bayern is looming on the transfer market this summer.

Turf wars: FC Bayern and Chelsea are likely to get in each other’s way in the upcoming transfer window when looking for players, as “Bild” reports. Accordingly, both clubs are looking for comparable types of players, and the playing philosophies of coaches Julian Nagelsmann and Thomas Tuchel are similar.

Defeats: Both clubs seem to have already suffered the first setbacks. Chelsea would have liked to extend the contracts of Antonio Rüdiger (29) and Andreas Christensen (26), Bayern also lost defenders and could have used them both. Ultimately, both players said goodbye to Madrid and Barcelona. It could be similar with Robert Lewandowski (33).

Questions for the future: At Chelsea, a further complication is that after the sanctions against Roman Abramovich, Todd Boehly’s takeover must first be completed. Only then can the club act on the transfer market.

Short, compact, clear

No extension yet – Neuer makes explosive demands during contract negotiations, which puts “Brazzo” under pressure
