In the turmoil surrounding top scorer Robert Lewandowski, who is said to be willing to change, Bayern President Herbert Hainer has ruled out an immediate farewell. “Robert Lewandowski has a contract with FC Bayern until June 30, 2023. And he will fulfill it,” said the chairman of the Munich supervisory board at “Merkur” and “tz” (weekend edition). Sport director Hasan Salihamidzic had previously represented this position.
According to media reports, Lewandowski is said to have informed the club bosses of the German record champions that he does not want to extend his contract, which expires in summer 2023. The striker reportedly wants to join FC Barcelona after this season.
