Today, June 16 Theatre Museum A. A. Bakhrushin and all of its affiliates (but only in Moscow, nine of them – three memorial houses, four apartment Museum, the Museum workshop and the Studio Museum) back to real life and open their halls to the public.

Online-specials will disappear: new interactive formats already managed to catch the fancy and to win the attention of a large audience. Master classes, creative meetings, concerts, lectures and other public programs, traditionally collecting crowded Bakhrushin Museum, now delayed until a full exit from isolation and the lifting of all restrictive measures.

the Celebration of the 160th anniversary of the birth of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov will continue. In August in the hall “carriage house” will open the exhibition-installation “Power garden” where you will try to catch today’s Chekhovian mood, to hold the whole world of Chekhov’s plays, introduce the reflection of his characters, and even try (in late summer!) to convey the flavor of a blooming cherry orchard.

the anniversary exhibition “Ulanova”, prepared with support of Fund of Galina Ulanova and its President Vladimir Vasiliev to the 110 anniversary since the birth of the ballerina, has been extended until 12 July. In the Museum space, the fans will be able to recreate some of the paintings of her life and to admire its main parties. Giselle, Maria, Tao Hoa, Juliette, Odette, the Swan… Close can be seen not only costumes and theatrical accessories of Galina Ulanova, but her personal belongings: unique jewelry, and clothes, bags and shoes fashion brands worn by the great ballerina.

Archival documents, letters, and poetry fans, catalogue of books from his personal library, movies from her collection, articles and books about her, rare photographs and film footage represent Galina Ulanova in different periods of life and in different roles, in the classroom with students, on vacation, on trips, at home, in the family circle. As noted in the Museum, the exhibition shows not only Galina Ulanova as a dancer and teacher, but also as a beautiful and elegant woman, the representative of the Soviet elite, which featured exquisite taste.

And the first premiere of the Bakhrushin Museum after quarantine will be the Vernissage of the exhibition “Diaries of front-line brigades” dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory and dedicated to the heroism of Soviet artists. In the center of the exhibition, created with the support of the Fund “History of the Fatherland”, – the rarities of the military years: photographs, manuscripts, posters, genuine frontline diaries. Open plan June 23, in the Theater gallery House-Museum of A. N. Ostrovsky.

In July and a new key the exhibition will occupy two exhibition halls of the Main building of the Museum. Exhibition in honor of the 155th anniversary of the birth of the founder of the Museum of the famous Moscow industrialist and philanthropist “Alex Johor Bahrutires. Looking to the future” (1865 – 1929) tell you about the personality of the collector and will present items from its collection.

Dmitry Rodionov, Director General of the Bakhrushin Museum:

– a Special regime of isolation was not only a preventative measure against dangerous diseases, but also test our ability to live without fellowship with the living art. Theoretically, if earlier, now almost, the world was convinced that this theater is the audience and actors in one room, and a Museum is the artwork and the audience in the same space, and only in such a vibrant energy contact. All of our online activity before that was a prelude to this long awaited meeting.

Exit offline is carried out in compliance with all prescribed norms and rules of safety, disinfection of premises and the provision of means of protection as Museum visitors and staff. For convenience, an electronic ticketing system in the halls to respect the required distance made the special markup.
