Former NASA astronaut, Professor at the Massachusetts Institute of technology (MIT) Jeffrey Hoffman speculate about the exit of tourists in the open space. In his opinion, travelers won’t entrust any important work, they just let it come out and let them “hang out”. About it writes RIA Novosti with reference to the statement by the astronaut.

Hoffman explained that EVAs does not require a lot of preparation if you do not want to spend time training in performing useful work on an external surface of the station. However, space tourists will have to learn the principles of operation of the suit, know what to do if something goes wrong with the oxygen supply. However, according to him, tourists in the event of the failure of the suit will be able to return to the station very quickly.

Earlier in June, it was reported that the space tourist the first time in history will be released into space in 2023. The agreement was signed by rocket-space Corporation (RKK) “Energy”, part “Roskosmos” and the American company Space Adventures Inc., involved in the development of space tourism. 2023 to the International space station (ISS) aboard the “Soyuz MS” will go to two tourists.
