This digital platform was developed by the Ministry of culture of the Russian Federation in the framework of the national project. It has already entered dozens of similar institutions across the country.

the Stavropol regional Museum of fine arts became the first in the region where there is such a virtual guide. The main exhibition, which was in the “Artifact” – the legacy of wealthy merchants Alafuzova, who lived in the Stavropol province of the XIX century, as well as income from the Hermitage, the State Museum Fund and the Museum of mountain peoples of Rostov-na-Donu.

– the Exposition of our Museum is much larger. But to take advantage of “Artifact” in the first stage, we selected 40 works. This is the most important paintings from our collection. Part of the authorship – artists, and part – foreign. Among them Kuinji, Polenov, Repin, Meshchersky, Bogolyubov and rare works of foreign artists – Elizabeth Jerichau and Angelica Kaufman, – said the Director of the Museum Zoe White.

According to her, participation in the national project “Culture” (section “Digital technologies”) in Stavropol Museum adopted in 2019. Then began the preparatory work, the Museum staff began to collect information.

Requirements for registration of pictures in the Annex were quite strict. First was to photograph paintings in several dimensions in order to help your application in the future to recognize them. You should also have art write the text of a certain amount.
