Landscape Park ENEA has installed two new art songs created specifically for the country’s main exhibition. As reported in the press service of ENEA, the installation “the Birds” belongs to the French artist Cedric Le borgne, whose work has been exhibited at major festivals around the world. The author of the art object “Armadillo” is an American sculptor Anthony Howe, famous for his kinetic objects, coming in motion by the wind.
Art composition “Birds” a bird consists of three pieces with a length of over three meters. All works are created by Cedric Le Bourne manually. Figures made of light mesh stainless steel, which gives them the transparency effect. In addition, by nightfall, the Birds are lit by floodlights.
“I was attracted by the idea that a small bird can become more than a man, to be his equal”, – told about his idea for a sculpture. According to the press service, this is not the first bird Le Bourne, who visited the exhibition. In 2017 this installation artist has become one of the most photographed among the exhibits of the festival “Inspiration”.
the name of the art object “Armadillo” in English means “battleship”, this animal resembles a sculpture. “Armadillo” consists of 305 bearings made of stainless steel, which makes the object resistant to cold and snow. The bearings rotate at the slightest breath of wind, so the sculpture is in constant motion.
“Birds” are in the Oak grove near the entrance to the air ecotrail. The installation “Armadillo” is located near the pavilion № 38 “Fishing”, not far from the tower-a column of Soviet avant-gardist El Lissitzky, together with which the sculpture forms a special art space outdoors.
