Apple has updated its high-end iPad Pro. New models first received a triple camera technology to scan the surrounding space, as well as case-keyboard Magic trackpad and Keyboard with adjustable angle.
the iPad Pro is equipped with 8-core processor A12Z Bionic Chip, “which is more powerful than most laptops on Windows”. As stated in the press release, the chip is specially optimized to run demanding tasks such as the installation of 4K video or designing 3D models.
Also the device is equipped with a battery capacity which should be enough for 10 hours of battery life, and five microphones “Studio quality”. Claimed to support connectivity to the fastest LTE Gigabit networks, but not 5G.
a new series of iPad Pro has a camera triple — as released last fall iPhone 11 Pro. But unlike the smartphone, the combination here used is different. 12-megapixel main and a 10-megapixel wide-angle lens complements the lidar — a laser range finder, which scans the surrounding space and, in fact, serves as the “eyes” of the tablet.
Apple says the new sensor iPad Pro is able to accurately measure the distance to objects at a distance up to 5 meters, equally effectively indoors and outdoors. The data coming from the cameras and 3D scanners are processed by computer vision algorithms, which opens up new possibilities for augmented reality apps. In particular, the lidar will help to better capture people’s movement and positioning virtual objects on the screen.
in Addition to the iPad Pro, was announced a keyboard cover with trackpad, Magic Keyboard, backlight and “smooth adjustment”. In The Apple stressed that the touchpad is “completely reimagined for iPad” and does not work as in macOS. For example, when the user moves his finger across the trackpad, the pointer automatically highlights user interface elements.
In the United States for the 11-inch model of the new tablet will ask for $799, the 12.9-inch — $949. In sale the novelty will arrive next week. For Magic Keyboard will have to pay $299 or $349, depending on display size. Will the new keyboard as early as may, but it will be compatible with last year’s iPad Pro.
