the Council on human rights under the President of Russia (HRC) asked the government to extend the monthly payment of minimum wage to all unemployed citizens. It is reported RIA Novosti with reference to the press service of the Council.

Such payment is proposed to extend to virtually all unemployed citizens at the time of applying to the employment service, and to provide for support measures for working pensioners, non-SP and terminated their activities in connection with the pandemic.

it is Noted that to the lawyers and activists received hundreds of requests to explain support measures, as well as proposals to expand direct assistance. A substantial part of the proposals appeared in connection with the fact that many Russians were left with no payments expected.

Also, the Council note that the majority of applicants for assistance — families with children, often many children, and citizens who do not have formalized labour relations.

In April, the Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin appointed the maximum possible payment in the amount of 12 130 rubles of the Russian unemployed who applied to the employment service after March 1. While unemployed with underage children, will additionally receive three thousand rubles for each child.

In 2020, the Federal minimum wage equals 12130 rubles. That unemployment benefits will be equal to the minimum wage, in early April, announced by President Vladimir Putin.
