The alienation of part of the territory of Russia is now considered extremism. Such an amendment to the law “On countering extremist activities” adopted by the state Duma.
“the violation of the territorial integrity of our country, including the alienation of the territory, to be qualified as extremist activities”, — said on the website of the state Duma.
Before innovations extremism was considered only a violation of integrity.
The law should protect the integrity and sovereignty of Russia. This will also improve the criminal code of Russia. After the adoption of the amendments to the criminal code for incitement against the integrity of the country will face fines of up to 60 thousand citizens and to 300 thousand for legal entities. For exclusion areas the punishment will be more severe. Citizens can obtain terms from six to 10 years of imprisonment.
