the Old bus, which was a kind of attraction of Alaska because of the book and movie “Into the wild”, moved to “safe place”. It was there in 1992 for several months lived and died from exhaustion American traveler Christopher McCandless. About the difficult decision to evacuate a local celebrity announced the local Department of natural resources.

According to officials, located far from civilization, a remote, wooded area landmark has become a great danger to tourists. After the release in 1996 of the book by John Krakauer about the adventures of McCandless “Into the wild” and the Sean Penn in 2007, crowds of thrill-seekers went in the footsteps of the traveller, wanting to get to the iconic bus. For many, this idea ended sadly – people were lost, was seriously injured or even killed. So, in July 2019, was tragically killed 24-year-old Belarusian actress Veronika Nikonova. Going on an adventure honeymoon, she and her husband safely to the bus and even slept in it. On the way back, the pair tried to cross the river Teklanika, but the girl stumbled and fell into the water. Because after yesterday’s heavy rains the current was strong when Veronica managed to get out of the water, she was not breathing.

the Bus was evacuated by military helicopter. Where it’s being moved, not reported. We only know that it is a safe place, hidden from the eyes of tourists, it was there that the star of the movie and will wait for the decision of state authorities about their fate.
