Airbus reported net loss by the end of 2019

Airbus has received a net loss in 2019, as the European aircraft manufacturer was fined due to a corruption scandal and incurred additional costs of developing the A400M transport aircraft.

Net loss for Airbus in the past year amounted to 1.36 billion euros compared to a net profit of $ 3.05 billion euros in 2018.

Adjusted EBITDA in 2019 increased by 19% and amounted to 6,946 billion euros. The figure is expected to exceed 7.5 billion euros in 2020, said the company.

Airbus’s Revenue last year rose 11% to 70,478 billion euros.

Net loss for the 2019 reflects the cost of $ 1,212 billion euros under the program of military transport aircraft A400M as well as the expenses on payment of fine in the amount of 3.6 billion euros. In January Airbus announced that it had reached an agreement with the authorities of great Britain, France and the United States under a multi-year investigation of bribery and corruption.

the Number of orders for commercial aircraft, Airbus received in 2019 has increased from 747 to 768 a year earlier.

this year the company plans to supply about 880 commercial aircraft, compared to 863 in 2019.
