A plane crash in Iran: Tehran has offered compensation, Kiev is not enough

Iran has offered to pay 80 thousand dollars of compensation to each family of victims of the crash near Tehran, however, Kiev will achieve greater amounts. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

“It’s very little. We will push for a large sum”, — quotes the Ukrainian leader, RIA Novosti reported.

Zelensky also said that Ukraine wants to get the “black boxes” of the crashed plane, despite the invitation of the Iranian side for Ukrainian specialists to participate in their joint decoding. He said that Ukrainian specialists have offered to fly to Iran next Monday, 3 February.

According to him, Iran already knows that the Ukrainian side has plenty of evidence that the plane was shot down, than immediately after the disaster.

In the crash of a Boeing 737 of the company “Ukraine International airlines” on January 8, shortly after takeoff from Tehran killed 176 people from seven countries. After a few days, the Iranian military acknowledged that the plane was shot down by the expectation of defense in error.
