Russia should impose a penalty for any failure to remove the forbidden information. A draft Federal law was published in the system of ensuring legislative activity.

The authors of the bill are deputies of the State Duma Alexander Khinshtein and Sergei Boyarsky. They suggest to fine for failure information or the web page, if the obligation to remove them as provided by law, individuals 50-100 thousand rubles, officials — on 200-400 thousand rubles, legal entities — by 800 thousand to four million rubles.

It is also proposed to fine for any failure to remove the web page containing calls for extremist activity, pornographic materials with images of minors and information on ways, methods of development, manufacture and use of banned substances, individuals on 100-200 thousand roubles, officials — on 400-800 thousand rubles, legal entities — three to eight million rubles.

In the explanatory note to the draft law States that it was designed to eliminate the legal gap — the responsibility for any failure to remove prohibited information still has not been established.
