A new city will appear in the Vladivostok area, which will be called Sputnik. The agreement on this was signed within the framework of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The city will be created on the territory of the advanced socio – economic development “Nadezhdinskaya”, less than 30 kilometers from Vladivostok. It is planned that the number of residents of the Satellite will be 300 thousand people, 2.8 million square meters of housing will be built within the framework of the project.
Earlier it was reported that after the construction of the Satellite, the Vladivostok agglomeration may become one of the”million-plus”cities. According to the estimates of the head of the Ministry of Regional Development Alexey Chekunkov, this may happen in 10 years.
