The Russian government approved the allocation of 11 billion roubles on additional payments to social workers and doctors involved in the fight against coronavirus. This was reported on the website of the Cabinet.

“to Adopt the draft Directive of the Russian government on this issue”, — stated in the list of orders on the results of the government meeting, which took place on 2 July.

Earlier, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said that the Cabinet allocates nearly 7.5 billion rubles for payments in July for health care workers who are in direct contact with patients COVID-19. Another 3.5 billion rubles will be spent on employee benefits social hospitals, working with patients with coronavirus and people at risk.

That additional financial support of doctors, medical personnel and social workers directly confronted in working with the coronavirus, would be extended for an additional two months and will be taken into account when calculating holiday pay, the President of Russia Vladimir Putin said during a televised address to the citizens on June 23.
