Thursday, March 26, the international basketball Federation (FIBA) has announced that Australia became a country, which in 2022 will take the world Cup in basketball among women.

“Russia and Australia were finalists applying for the right conduct of the world championship – the official website of FIBA. – The decision was taken by the Central Council at a special video conference where both candidates made their presentations”.

For Australia the world Cup in basketball among women will be the second in the history of the country for the first time the Australians have attended this competition in 1994 when the tournament winner was the team of Brazil.
