Deputies of the city Duma of Nizhny Novgorod at a special meeting on Thursday accepted the early resignation of the mayor Vladimir Panov in connection with transition to other work.
"In accordance with the Charter of the city to perform the duties of the mayor of Nizhny Novgorod will be the first Deputy head of administration Yuri Shalabaev", – said the press service of the city hall.
Shalabaev was appointed first Deputy mayor in the morning of 6 may 2020 instead left the post Natalia Kazachkova. Shalabaev is the winner of "the Leaders of Russia 2018-2019". Prior to the end of 2019, the Deputy head of the city administration of Nizhniy Novgorod, Deputy Minister of Finance of the government of Nizhny Novgorod region.
